Driving in the rain in a convertible with the top down~ Check!

Did you know that at 85 miles an hour, I mean 75 miles an hour… wait, what’s the speed limit?  (Record scratch)  Okay, let me start over.  Did you know that at 65 miles an hour, in a convertible, the rain wont touch you?  Well that is what I learned today and this is how and why.

As I walked outside today, I was greeted with a warm sun lit day and a perfect temperature of about 78 degrees.   I had a semi long round trip journey to complete across town so I thought to myself, "What a better way to make my drive enjoyable but by putting down the top off my convertible."

As I got on the freeway, the day was gorgeous and the breeze a perfect cool; however, as I drove along I could see a dark cloud up ahead.  Suddenly the temperature seemed to drop a few degrees but I could see the end of the dark cloud so I thought to myself, “What the heck, what’s a few miles of a little rain going to do but freshen me up!”  As I drove along I noticed just a few droplets on my windshield but nothing more.  Then as I drove along it was looking bright and clear again.  "God’s taking care of me again." I thought to myself.

As I reached the other stretch of highway I could see it was cloudy but not as dark, so the chance of rain was not completely out of sight.  I was up for the challenge and thought, "What better time than now to drive in the rain and test my theory of rain and speed and angularity."

Finally as I progressed excitedly, I thought, “I want some rain baby!  Plus if my theory proves false, this will be a refreshing experience non-the-less, like a baptism straight from the heaven!"  Well God must have heard my request because not long after I could sink into thought did it begin to rain.

As the rain tapped harder on my windshield I got a rush of good to be alive!  ‘New Sensation’ and ‘Need You Tonight/ Mediate’ so appropriately played on the radio, as if those who watched were saying to me, “You’re one of my kind!” Or maybe they were really thinking, “What an idiot!”  Non-the-less, I’d like to think the former.  Now, you, tell me if that was or wasn’t all heavenly planned out by the great unknown.

No it didn’t rain long and hard, God wouldn’t have that for me.  It seemed to last only long enough to enjoy and excitingly enough to where gushes of rain dripped over the side of my windshield onto the side panel of my door, but only to be washed away by the wonderful breeze that would, just as quickly, wipe it dry.

It was thrilling to see how fast I could dodge the raindrops and still see it coming down only from the front of my windshield while, I, still remaining dry (good thing as I was still wearing my Sunday’s best!), looked anxiously and excitedly into the distance for the next patch of dry road.  Then eventually the sun would come again like a god.  Hmmm… new sensation, you think?

Now that’s what I call LIVING baby!

Peace and Prayers to You on this MLK day and onward~

I had a vision that every soul on earth worked only towards the goodness of all and there existed a calm warm peace throughout the land.   Then in the midst of calamity, exploded an unexpected crisis.  And the calm following the storm left many souls broken, perplexed and unsettled.

Suddenly a hidden peace was realized, and I heard Jesus speak.  To those chosen to be in his kingdom that day he said, “Stand up and go, your faith has saved you.”  To those chosen to continue to carry their cross on earth he said, “Your faith has saved you, go in peace”.  Then amongst the eternal souls I could hear the faint singing of what sounded like a happy birthday hymn.
