You know these thoughts were on someone’s mind the other day:
Why a rich man (rich/poor man, that is!) would
receive so much publicity for a death when there are children dying everyday in other countries. What’s
amazing to me is that “it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get to heaven”.
For it is he that will need our prayers the most; not the dying children... for the children will
cross over as angels with little or no resistance.
Another wondered why the people that die with money are publicized on TV rather than all
the poor that are dying.
First off, I think I’ve seen the “Children
starving in ..Africa..” commercial at least a thousand times in my lifetime.
Secondly, television
and music and the media have influenced the masses in some form or fashion, so it only makes sense that those they influenced
be notified in the masses of their passing on. Why not let them have their moments of fame?
They’ve obviously earned it! If it were that easy, we’d all be on television.
Then there would be no room for shows, wouldn’t that be interesting?
And finally, it’s the nature
of the business… so…. LIVE WITH IT! Kidding, but seriously speaking, it is a misnomer
that the famous ones have done nothing to rise to their status, whereas in reality, it takes extreme hard work and sacrifice
to accomplish... for nothing worth having ever comes by easily.
All things considered, ponder on the following:
Dairy farmers will
thrive in dairy products just as farmers who are tillers of soil and sowers of seed will reap crops.
In the same aspect; those who accomplish
nothing will be forgotten, just as those who earn their place in life will be rewarded as such in the material world (“…and
I am a material girl”- Madonna. Sorry, couldn’t resist!). It doesn’t
make anyone of these better than the other, although some might beg to differ.
Life is a world of opportunities.
Some will choose to grasp them by the tail and accomplish much... while others will choose to just barely slide
by and remain unnoticed at will. So instead of being envious of those who have spent time discovering their
talent and working at it to the best of their ability, why not take a shot at it! No one can
choose your destiny and future but yourself.
Only you can make life GRAND or Mediocre or Miserable...
once you become an adult, that is! Before then you are at the mercy of others, and it may become
difficult to overcome the damage (if any) that may have been instilled in you up until then.
Here's
where I come in... if you please that is. I am the cornerstone that can assist in building a
foundation if you’d like. Or I can stand or sit still like a silent statue in the corner...
and listen but say nothing if you’d like. I can
listen closely as a friend that will not judge or criticize, just listen and let you unload…
–Or-
I
can throw criticism on you like a step parent, all your choice! kidding... I will
not criticize like a step parent... but how about like a school teacher???
Ok, not... rotten humor I tell ya, but you catch the drift.
Whichever
way you choose I am here when you are ready to lean on somebody.
Until then always remember:
It takes work to get to any level
of success in life, so you should be asking yourself what is my purpose in life and what can I work on to fulfill that purpose?
~and~
What
can I do to make a change that will make me ~not necessarily a legend~ but someone worth being remembered!
With Much LOVE and
SAPPY as a Tree,
